Savannah Parks- Owner, Trainer

Savannah's love for horses began at the age of four, and from that moment on, she knew the equestrian world was where she belonged. She began taking riding lessons around age seven with Charlotte Cannon and Tommy Robinson at Fox Point Farm, where she trained until leaving for college in 2016.

During her years at Fox Point Farm, Savannah did far more than ride. She quickly became Charlotte's trusted right-hand person, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in every aspect of the horse industry. From feeding and daily horse care to teaching beginner riders, starting young horses, assisting at horse shows, and helping with lessons and summer camps, she developed a strong foundation that continues to shape her training program today.

 

Growing up in a family of business owners also gave Savannah a unique perspective on the importance of hard work, dedication, and exceptional customer service. When the economy became challenging in 2008, she learned firsthand the value of perseverance. After school, weekends, and countless hours at the barn were spent working to earn her riding lessons, lease payments, board, and horse show expenses. She is incredibly grateful to Charlotte for providing those opportunities and to her parents for always supporting her passion—even when it meant she was rarely home. Today, Savannah is passionate about creating similar opportunities for young riders, knowing how life-changing they can be.

 

Savannah began competing at the age of ten and has loved showing ever since. Throughout her youth, she successfully competed in local hunter circuits, IEA, open shows, and 4-H competitions, earning numerous Champion and Reserve Champion titles along the way. Over the years, she has competed in hunters, hunter under saddle, western pleasure, horsemanship, showmanship, and equitation.

 

For more than 20 years, Savannah's greatest partner was her beloved heart horse, Spanky. In April 2026, she said goodbye to him at the remarkable age of 28. Spanky shaped her journey as both a rider and trainer, and his legacy continues to inspire everything she does in and out of the show pen.

Today, Savannah continues to compete at APHA and AQHA shows, campaigning training horses in Open, Senior, Junior, and Green divisions. She is excited to continue pursuing new opportunities in the show ring while helping both horses and riders achieve their goals.

 

Before founding Meadowdale Farms, Savannah had the opportunity to work with Diane Ritzs at Hidden Springs Farm, where she gained valuable experience in a high-level dressage and eventing program. The knowledge and horsemanship she developed there continue to influence her well-rounded approach to training.

 

At Meadowdale Farms, Savannah's greatest passion is building lasting partnerships between horses and their riders. Her training philosophy emphasizes confidence, relaxation, and trust through The Cannon Method, creating willing, happy horses while achieving competitive, show-winning results.

 

Committed to lifelong learning, Savannah is always seeking opportunities to further her education and bring new knowledge, techniques, and experiences back to her students. She looks forward to helping every rider grow in confidence, develop strong horsemanship skills, and enjoy the journey with their horses.
